James started his career at Transport For London, where following a Times top 100 graduate scheme, he joined the commercial development directorate and led on the commercialisation of digital, intellectual property rights and data.

Graduating from Exeter University with a 1st class degree in Economics and Business and achieving a distinction in his masters,  James has always had an aptitude for finance and commerce. Having then spent a decade in senior relationship and strategy roles, following his move to Jersey, James has pivoted a lifelong interest into a new career and is now a qualified Financial Adviser.

He joins de Carteret Wealth with a passion for helping others to plan and think strategically about their finances. James enjoys getting to know people and working with them to achieve their goals.

James is married with two young daughters and enjoys making the most of coastal living. Having grown up on the south coast of the UK and spent weekends sailing the Solent, he is keen to pass on this passion for being afloat to his daughters.
